challenge

Our client is a publicly listed company that sources and manufactures bathroom and kitchen productsnationally to trade and consumer channels. They were undertaking significant business transformation, which included changing their business model from being a primarily locally manufactured organisationto an internationally sourced one, and needed help to develop their capability into a high performingsupply chain organisation that will improve service level performance whilst reducing working capitaland costs.

● Planning processes were disintegrated, including no centralised supply planning process. Anyprocesses that did exist were inconsistently adopted by each team member

● Supply chain planning systems provided inadequate visibility and limited exception basedmanagement.

● Poor master and planning data● Volatile demand was exacerbated by poor planning processes that resulted in a large number of

forecast changes within lead-time and a short-term focus● Significant supply and capacity constraints across key product portfolios● Lack of planning maturity and visibility made it difficult for management to obtain information required

to influence planning decisions
