tomorrow or deliver them directly to Mr Knott at
55 Queen’s Road.

Extreme Reading Reminder
Thank you to those who have
already sent in your entries—we
will have a display of these next
term. Why not use the Easter Holidays to take a
photo of your extreme reading and either bring it in
or email it so the school at
admin@longleaze.wilts.sch.uk.
All entries will go into a prize draw which will be
drawn next term.
Thank you
To Ms Piper and Mrs Peaker for all they have done for Longleaze School as two of our Governors. Their help and support over the years they have served has been much appreciated. They are both stepping down due to other
commitments.
Also to Mrs Peaker as she leaves us next
term to take up a job at Royal Wootton
Bassett Academy - good luck!
LSA news - Winners of Competition
Thank you to the children who entered the Easter Competition. It was a very difficult choice as they were all very unique and artistic, but the winners are:
1st place - Chloe Peaker in Ash Class
2nd place - Freddy Richardson in Oak Class and Dylan Brook in Chestnut Class
3rd place: Owen Cheesewright in Lime Class
The winners received an Easter Egg and everyone who took part was given an Easter treat for their efforts.
Early Drop Off
We are continuing to have children
turning up to Early Drop Off having
not been booked in and this is
making it increasingly difficult to cater for and
supervise correctly.
The booking forms are put out well in advance
and are available on the website or from school
reception . You are also able to make payment
on Parent Pay if you are booking for the full
month.
Please make the effort to get the booking forms
in on time so we may plan for the numbers
expected. If children turn up without prior
booking we cannot guarantee that they will be
able to have breakfast and they will be asked to
wait in the library until registration opens and
you will be contacted to let you know this has
happened.
Can we also remind you that the daily increase in
cost to 80p applies from 1st April. Many thanks.
Here's another performance opportunity. Entertain the crowds at RWB Christmas Lights from 6.00pm Friday 4th December 2015. As last year there will be a stage, only bigger, and a big screen too. And individuals and small groups will be able to perform in vari-ous other places, some indoors.
If you have a "direct Bassett connection" and want to take part, contact Lisa Williams for details and an ap-plication form: <lisawilliamsmusic@gmail.com> or Mb 07989 834120. First come first served.
Longleaze School Annual Fun Run
We will be holding our annual sponsored Fun
Run/Walk for the children School.
The emphasis of this run is to combine fun with the development of a
healthy body and a sharp mind. We are happy also to encourage the
children to walk the course if they prefer.
Due to circumstances beyond our control we will be unable to use our
field for this event this year and we hope to be using the Gerald Buxton
Sports Ground in Rylands Way for the run. Parents/carers are welcome
to come and watch. We will issue a timetable before the run so you
know when your child’s class will be taking part.
If you are able to help on the day and have a few hours to spare on
Friday 17th April 2015, please speak to Mrs Hopkins in the School
Office.
Full details of the run and a sponsorship form have been sent home with
your child today.
We will be using funds raised to boost our mini bus funds.
Don’t Forget!
Once a week - take a
peek!
Together we can beat
head lice.

in the library for children to put post it notes up for themselves, after having done a good
deed. The board was covered within a day and many more followed throughout the week.
Each teacher chose who they thought had carried out the kindest deed and the child was
awarded with a small prize.
Mrs Riley and the Anti Bullying Ambassadors would like to thank everyone who carried out
a kind deed. Well done to our children chosen for their kind deeds :
