DAY 1 Friday

Arrival Pisa airport, You will be met by our private car service and driven to your first destination in

Maremma, which is part of the estate of the 1000 year old Castle of Castagneto ; overlooking the

Tyrrhennian Sea and the nearby village of Castegneto Carducci, which is one of the most attractive

in Tuscany. This area around Bolgheri, is world famous for it’s ”Super Tuscan” style wines that today are

amongst Italy’s most world renowned wines.

In the afternoon private visit and wine tasting at one of the most celebrated estates in the world: Marchesi

de Frescobaldi's Ornellaia producing the Masseto wine, and the Ornellaia red itself, followed by dinner at

the estate.

Accomodations in the estate owned by Count Della Gherardesca (including the Castle of Castegneto and

its” Villas) which include renowned examples of the grandeur of Tuscan noble lifestyle.

DAY 2 Saturday

Morning private visit to Sassicaia winery, San Guido Estate; it was established by Marchese Mario Incisa

della Rocchetta, and is considered the seminal "Super Tuscan".

Sassicaia was an immediate hit with famed Italian critic Luigi Veronelli, who dubbed it “fairy-tale wine”

(vino da favola), thanks to the wine’s complex bouquet and finesse, and thus began the creation of the

“Super Tuscan” style of wine. Lunch at their estate.

Afternoon private wine tasting at Guado al Tasso, “Marchesi Antinori”: The Guado al Tasso estate is also

part of the small, prestigious Bolgheri DOC zone which has been famous for its Rosé wines since the

Seventies: along with the white wines made here, they were awarded the DOC in 1984, which was extended

to the reds in 1994. The area is now best-known and admired for its outstanding Super Tuscan red wines.

The estate covers over 1,000 hectares, 300 of which are planted with vineyards.

After a stroll to the charming village of Bolgheri, we will enjoy a grand dinner at the Castle: wine

presentation and tasting by Marchese Lodovic Antinori Estates. ( the creator of the famed Ornellaia)

This will feature their recently launched ( in 2012 in the US) “Tenuto di Biserno” line from their 45

Hectare vineyards it the Upper Maremma area of Western Tuscany. Including “Il Pino di Biserno”,

“Biserno” and “Lodovico”.

Accomodations: Estate surrounding and including the Castle of Castagneto and Villas

DAY 3 Sunday Morning brunch and transfer to Florence.

After check in, a walk through the ancient streets of Florence: our experts will lead the way, showing you

some very surprising places, some classics such as the Cathedral and the Baptistery, Piazza della Signoria

and Ponte Vecchio.

Cocktails and Dinner , at the private roof garden room of the Antica Torre , with most outstanding views

of Florence. Wine presentation and tasting of a special selection of wines from various Tuscan boutique

wineries .

Hotel: Historic Residence Torre dei Tornabuoni

The Tower House known as "Antica Torre di Via Tornabuoni 1" was built during the first half of the 13th

century by the Guelf Family, the Ruggerinis. Guests of the "Antica Torre di via Tornabuoni 1" do not

consider themselves simply clients, but special guests. They are surrounded by a unique atmosphere of

charm and history, while at the same time enjoy an elegant and refined ambience, where the traditional

fuses with the modern, offering a truly unforgettable stay.

DAY 4 Monday

Exclusive, private visit to the Galleria degli Uffizi, and Vasari Corridor*. (when it is

closed to the public---an experience of a lifetime), accompanied by our art experts.

Exclusive private visit to the Medici Chapels and its hidden Michelangelo’s masterpieces.( by special

invitation; as it is not open to the public)

Lunch at world famous Harry's Bar, on the Arno River.

Free afternoon. Perhaps to stroll through the Oltr'arno neighborhood with its’ old world atmosphere, and

active artisan workshops. Visit exclusive boutiques still specializing in custom-made articles such as, shoes,

jewelry; or browse the world’s famous Fashion Houses- Ferragamo, Gucci, Prada, Bulgari to mention but a

few. We will enjoy a private gathering at the Ferragamo Museum with a brief introduction of the company

and family history .

Cocktails and informal dinner at a special private residence once the home of Galileo Galilei, where we

can gaze at the same stars the famed scientist saw from the tower located on the roof.

DAY 5 Tuesday

Visit Marchesi Antinori’s Tignanello estate, taste their stupendous wines Tignanello and Solaia .

Tignanello is produced exclusively from the historical vineyard of the same name, a parcel of some 120

acres; Solaia is produced exclusively from a 25 acres vineyard with a southwestern exposure, both at

1150-1325 feet above sea level

Estate winery private lunch.

Afternoon transfer to Villa Mangiacane, a spectacular hotel du charm estate, once owned by

“Machiavelli”, and now beautifully restored by current owner Glynn Cohen; Wine tasting of his

extraordinary estate wines and farewell dinner.

Day 6 Wednesday

After breakfast, private transportation to the Florence airport/train station.

Depending on your departure time, enjoy a visit to Palazzo Strozzi (housing the National Institute for

Renaissance Studies) the latest exhibition or some last minute shopping.
