DESCRIPTION

In a place where the grapevine means culture and tradition, the Petriolo Wine Farm evokes the smell of soil and tired hands, the scents of the grapevines, passionate souls and people’s mem- ories treasured in a grape. These experienced people have made our wine the authentic expression of the craftsmanship of Tuscany. The renewed commitment of two young men, Emiliano and Matteo, nurtures a new story, lively and enthusiastic, which makes it possible for the past experience to be enacted again through a quality wine production. That’s Petriolo, a story which gets reinvented through the encounters with people.

In our grapeyards set 300 meters above the sea, we take care of the protagonists of Tuscany: Sangiovese, Trebbiano, Canaiolo and Malvasia, the real soul of Chianti. The grapevines grow on a clayish and calcareous ground, with a solid skeleton, from which derives the unmistakable ruby red of the great Tuscan wines.

Our wines, Chianti Petriolo, Chianti Petriolo RIserva, Venato, Toscana Rosso will delight you with the authentic and passionate taste of a memorable experience.

Chianti has always been the quintessential Tuscan wine, a product which has made its region famous throughout the world. The rich clay and limestone soil together with a favorable climate, have proved ideal for the cultivation of vines since ancient times. As far back as the 1800s, rules were set up for the production of Chianti and since 1932 a disciplinary code establishes the number of vines for every hectare, the grape varieties and the organoleptic features.
