• A passport is an internationally recognized travel document that verifies the identity and nationality of the bearer. A valid U.S. passport is required to enter and leave most foreign countries.
• A visa is an endorsement or stamp placed by officials of a foreign country on a U.S. passport that allows the bearer to visit that foreign country.

• Electronic Travel Authority (ETA), which replaces a visa and allows a stay of up to three months.

• Air travelers may now carry liquids, gels and aerosols in their carry-on bag when going through security checkpoints.

• 3 ounce bottle or less;
• 1 quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag;
• 1 bag per passenger placed in screening bin.
• One-quart bag per person limits the total liquid volume each traveler can bring.
• 3 oz. container size is a security measure.
