In the early 1900’s, ocean liners were expensive and only the wealthy can afford to travel first class.
A vast majority of the travelers who cannot afford first class travel were in the steerage class. Steerage refers to the lowest decks of a ship, which offers the most basic amenities.

A cruise is a stress-free and hassle-free vacation. It takes away trivial matters like driving, packing and unpacking the luggage which can contribute to stress.
Cruising produces appreciation of the environment and various cultures amongst the passengers.
