How PNR Status Works?
• An RAC would mean that your ticket is not yet confirmed.However, if someone cancels his/her ticket, you will obtain areserved berth (Reservation against Cancellation). Otherwise,you will have to make do with your reserved seat alone.Therefore, you may board the train without any worries.• You are extremely unlucky if the status shows up as WL orWaiting List. Unless all the RAC seats are allotted, and someseats/berths are still left over for allotment, you will not beable to enter a reserved compartment. Either cancel yourjourney, or enter the general, unreserved compartment.• Other messages that may appear are GNWL, that is, generalwaiting list; CAN/MOD, that is, cancellation of your ticket byself; or CKWL, that is, Tatkal wait list, if you have booked justone day before your actual journey.
