Florida came to us in recent years as a great surprise. As opposed to an image of a beaten “cheap” destination, we “discovered” Florida to be a top notch attractive place, in comparison to other competing destinations within the US.

This 2–part presentation is dedicated to our friends Jim and Diane who plan a Florida vacation for their anniversary .

At the Florida Keys

One of the most attractive features of Florida is water canal streets, in quite a few different locations, even on the islands, here on the Florida Keys.

Florida is unusually rich in wild life, including creatures otherwise available only in underdeveloped regions of the world, here in the vast area of the Everglades National Park.

This big Iguana just rested in patience on a parking lot in the Cape Florida State Park on the southern tip of Key Biscayne. I couldn’t find more beautiful ones in underdeveloped countries or in Encyclopedias.
