• Lake district is a poets land, a land where the world renowned poets like William Wordsworth spent most of his life writing legendary poems sitting amid the stunning mountains and sparkling lakes. Not only him but other poets who were influenced by the eternal beauty of this place like Southey and Coleridge, became popular as Lake Poets.
• SIGHT SEEING - The Lake district national park is known to be the most visited national parks in England. It is the second largest park of UK and is surrounded by breathtaking mountains and stunning lakes. This place has a variety of flora and fauna which includes some of the very vital wildlife species also. It’s a home to the red squirrel and two of the rare carnivorous plants of Britain.
• GRASMERE GINGER BREAD – It’s another hot selling recipe which is neither a cake nor a biscuit, something in between actually. Visit the Grasmere village to have one.
• LAKE DISTRICT TEA BREAD – A perfect accompaniment with afternoon tea, this traditional recipe not only looks beautiful but tastes so good too. The recipe is made using tea, sounds weird but it’s true. You would find most of the people living here having tea bread as their afternoon accompaniment.
