Background
• The effective sharing of information has long been identified as a key underpinning of the drive towards the provision of integrated, multi-agency services, particularly in relation to the care and protection of citizens;
• eCare has been developed in response to this requirement.

The Strategic Choice
• eCare Programme has a key important role to play in increasing the level of care and protection for all Scottish citizens:– Child Protection Messaging;– Support of Getting Right for Every Child;– Vulnerable Persons System – Police;– Expansion to eSSA to cover the full assessment and
care management process;– Discussions around Adult Support and Protection.
