DAY 1 YANGON ARRIVAL

On arrival at Yangon International Airport, you are welcomed by our tour guide and transferred to your hotel. After refreshment, you embark on a city tour including:(1) China Town noted for its fruit market, delicious street foods and old world atmosphere.(2) Downtown Yangon’s Sule Pagoda, City Hall, Independence monument and old colonial buildings. (3) A visit to the magnificent and world famous Shwedagon Pagoda, known for its religious significance and artistic beauty. The massive bell shaped stupa is plated with gold and the tip of the stupa is set with diamonds and rubies, sapphires and topaz - a stunning sight as the sun sets and an unforgettable place to begin your trip in the "Golden Land". DAY 2 YANGON – INLE LAKE (by air)

After breakfast, you will leave Yangon to Heho Airport, the gateway to the Inle Lake region by domestic flight. On arrival Heho, the day’s excursion includes :(1) by road to Pindaya :a small quiet town well-known for its traditional Shan paper making, pottery and umbrella making villages. (2) a visit to the Pindaya cave complex filled with thousands of Buddha images donated by donatees over the centuries and therefore numbering in the thousands. (3) Lunch at local restaurant and proceed to NyaungShwe - a small town located at the edge of the Lake Inle. You will be taken by boat to your hotel. DAY 3 INLE LAKE : Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda Festival





The day’s excursion :(1) After breakfast,a morning visit to Lin Kin Village where the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda is situated and witness the annual boat Procession of the Festival. Observe the Royal Barge, which carries the 5 most,revered Buddha images towed by small boats from Lin Kin village to Nyaung Shwe as part of the procession. (2) Enjoy the fair-like atmosphere with the locals participating in music and dance along with traditional leg- rowing boat racing. (3) Lunch at local restaurant. Continue on to the weaving village of Inpawkhon and Ngaphekyaung Monastery - well known for its jumping cats and collections of Buddha images and altars. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Inle Lake.

DAY 4 INLE LAKE EXCURSION

Today’s full day Inle Lake Boat excursion tour is the most scenic and the best boat tour on the lake includes and will :(1) visit to the weaving villages of Kyauk Taing and Kyin Kham (2)proceed on to the Southern part of the lake, to Sagar Village, once a Shan Prince’s abode in the olden days.(3) explore the many century old ThaKon Pagoda ruins dated over the centuries.

DAY 5 INLE LAKE - YANGON (by air)

After breakfast, we leave Inle/Heho for Yangon by air. In Yangon we visit :(1) Loka-Chantha-Abhaya-Labha-Muni Buddha Image one of the largest marble Buddha statues in the world weighing over 600 tons and 37 feet long.(2) Chauk-htat-kyi Phaya; a huge life-like reclining Buddha statue surrounded by Buddhist monasteries . (3) Bogyoke Aung San Market(named after the father of Aung San Suu Kyi and formerly known as he Scott Market )to purchase souvenirs and handicrafts if you wish. There are gems, fabrics,acquer ware, wood sculptures,paintings etc… the range of wares is fantastic and don’t forget to bargain!(4) In the evening,farewell Dinner at Karaweik Palace barge on the Royal Lake.
