SIX AWESOME CAIPIRINHASYOU DON’T NEED TO BE IN BRAZIL TO DRINK LIKE A BRAZILIAN
The ClassicLimes, sugar, cachaça, and ice are all you need to make the perfect classic caipirinha.
Put five or six lime wedges into a shaker, then add three table spoons of sugar and muddle. (If you feel daring, mix in some lemon wedges and try using brown sugar.)
Pour in the cachaça, add a handful of ice, and shake.
Pour everything, including the ice, into a rocks glass.
Traditionally, the caipirinha is made without the shaker. But, using it will help to chill the drink perfectly, mix in any extra sugar, and make you look like a badass in front of your friends.
PINEAPPLE-GINGER CAIPIRINHAREPLACE CACHAÇA WITH SAKE FOR A SWEETER, SOFTER TASTE.
Muddle fresh chunks of pineapple with sugar and a few slices of ginger
Throw in some ice, add sake or vodka, and shake
If you want to be fancy, use the green pineapple stalks and a
ginger stick to garnish
Goes great with grilled fish or ceviche

Replace the lime wedges with kiwi fruit for an exotic and delicious twist
on the classic caipirinha.
Easy way to cut kiwi: Cut off both ends of the kiwi fruit;
Slip a table spoon between the fruit and the peel; Spin the spoon around releasing the fruit from its peel.

JABUTICABA / MARACUJATHE REAL TASTE OF BRAZIL
For a real Brazilian taste, treat yourself to a caipirinha made from Jabuticaba berries or
from Maracuja, aka the passionfruit.
A jabuticaba caipirinha, made with vodka, is probably the single greatest thing you can ever
put in your mouth! But, you will have to travel to Brazil to try it!
You might have better luck finding passionfruit, but make sure you use extra wide straws. The
passionfruit has massive seeds that will clog up a normal straw.
