• We Deliver a NHS Flagship project funded by the Tinder Foundation.

How can we deliver all this?

Work Placement Digital Champions

• We have been working with work placements from Job Centre since 1st July 2013

• So far we have had 27 Digital Champions on 8 week work placements doing up to 30 hours per week includes 7 current Work Placements.

Interview

• Instead of an interview we do a afternoon training session about being a digital champion – so that people know what it is we do, why we do it, what we expect of them and what they can expect of us.

• We produce a Digital Champion Lanyard.• A Volunteer Folder containing Policies

• Of the previous 20 work placement volunteers.

• we have taken 1 into employment with us • 7 so far have found work.• 4 on IAG course.• 4 on PTLLS course.

• No doubt work experience is giving people the advantage.

• Any one knows that in the Voluntary and not for profit sector that applications come in all the time with people with no experience.

• Chanel Shift means that having been a digital Champion is good for your CV

• Provides a reference.

• Job Centre Pay expenses. A project like our has 50 volunteers- lot of money.

• Increases your Capacity to deliver.• They make lots of things possible.• We have volunteers who teach, who do admin,

who help with publicity, who help repair and recycle and who are Digital Health Champions.
