Rubedo : a multisite CMS

� A configuration wizard support the easy creation of new websites in Rubedo back-end.

� All the sites can be managed through the same instance of Rubedo. Onlyone Rubedo plaftorm is necessary to manage several websites.

� Thanks to this multisite feature, administration of websites is centralized, while their daily management can be delegated to functionaladministrators. This is a multi-admin mode. Right management letseach administrator or webmaster manage his very own site only.

� Dealing with multi websites, the followings can be shared within the sameinstance of Rubedo :

– Taxonomy (contents and assets classification)

– Content and media types

– Contents

– Assets

– Queries

– Users and User groups

– Workspaces

� According to need, these elements can be shared between the websites, or restricted to a specific website.


Log in Rubedo back-end


Open the Rubedo Start menu, Studio features and Sites application


« Sites » application lists the existing websites. This application letsyou create, delete or modify websites.


Rubedo CMS offers a 3-step website creation wizard.

Step 1 : When you add a new website, you can create :- a blank site- a site using an existing site as a model


Step 2 : to create a new site, you must specify the domain name of this site.

You can also choose the graphic theme of the new site, and specify the languages.



� Focus on themes and design :

– Each website can have its own graphic theme or share it with other sites.

– Different themes can be stored in Rubedo.

– In the back-end, « Sites » application lets you select the theme you want to use for a specific website, and « Custom themes » application allows you to create your own graphic themes.


Step 3 : Specify the title of your website and its description. You can also addkeywords to define the content of your website

The default description will be displayed by search engines. The keywords willimprove Search Engine Optimization.

Click on « Create this site » to complete the wizard.


You new website is now available in the « Sites » application.

Its description, graphic theme, keywords, languages… can be modified.External API keys for Google Analytics, Disqus and Google Maps are alsoavailable through the « Sites » application.


Once a new site is created…

� You can modify and preview it thanks to the following applications :

– Page masks

• To modify the different page masks or templates of you site.

– Pages

• To modify existing pages or create new ones.

– Preview

• To preview your website on different devices.


The "Page masks" application allows to consult and modify the different rendering templates available in front office, and to duplicate existing masks, possibly from one site to another


In the « Pages » application, you can access the tree view of the different sites maintained on the platform :

• 3 pages are created by default for a blank site,• All the pages of the site used as a model, if you created the new

website using an existing site as a model.

� The new website will inherite the following :

– Page masks (templates)

– Pages

� By default, the new website created from a model will offer the contents and assets of its model website, waiting for this to be modifiedif you want to.

� Thanks to this feature, you can create reusable site models.

« Pages » application allows you to add new pages or modify existing ones. You can also preview the different pages, to see your modifications beforepublication.


With a « central administrator » profile, you can :- view, modify and add new page masks for each of your websites- manage responsive design properties
