What is Thunderbolt?

Thunderbolt Integration Suite is a full middleware server infrastructure enabling the design and implementation of transactions between disparate systems

It enables the creation of applications which utilize data from different systems which will not naturally speak together.

Thunderbolt Functional Components

Heartbeat monitor– Checks the availability of connectors and transformers– Communicates with the engine to start/re-start faulted

connectors– Checks the run ability of transaction models

Connectors: – Enables transfer of data from one system to another

Transformers: – Manipulate and transform transactional data

Node controllers: – Maintains connector availability

How does Thunderbolt fit in with Web Services?

As an internet-based integration platform, Thunderbolt is perfect as a front end or back end of any web service

Thunderbolt brings the transactional logic and integration pipe work required to implement web services

Thunderbolt makes web services easy

Thunderbolt takes care of all the work required in developing logic, persistence, transactionality and transportation in any integration project:

– Creation of the pipe work for physical transport of data– Remote management of connectors– Modeling of business processes, their logic and data

transforms– Issues of persistency– Issues of transactionality– Issues of scalability and availability
