What do we know about the moon?
The moon has rocks and soil but it does not have air or living things.
On the surface of the moon you can see
craters. A crater is a hole in the ground.
These craters were made long ago when
rocks from space crashed into the moon.
The moon seems to change its shape because you can only see the part
that has light shining on it. The rest of the moon is dark to you.
The shapes that you can see are called the phases of the moon. It takes about a month to
see all the phases of the moon.
