Risks in operating photovoltaic systems.

Faults that occur when operating photovoltaic systems can be quicklydiagnosed from a solar radiation of 500 – 600 W/m² via markedchanges to the thermal properties using Testo thermal imagers:

Defective bypass diodesContact faults and short circuits in solar cellsPenetrated humidity, contaminationCracks in cells or in the module's glassNon-functioning or disconnected modulesSo-called mismatches, i.e. loss of performance due to different capacities of individual modules

In thermographic measurement, it is important that you note theintensity of the solar radiation. This is because values that are too lowdistort the results.

The testo 876, with its flexible camcorder design, enables you to detectpower losses in your photovoltaic system while in operation really easilyand efficiently. You always have the right image section in view thanksto the large rotatable display and optional telephoto lens. Its specialfeature: you can enter the solar irradiation data in W/m2 into the cameravery easily using the solar mode. No need to worry any more about

losing the data, this is stored for each thermal image and is availablefor analysis in the evaluation software.
