The thermal imager testo 885 is the professional measuring
instrument for detecting anaomalies and weak spots in
materials and components extremely precisely without con-
tact. Thanks to the high-quality infrared measurement
system, even the smallest energy losses and cold bridges
in builings, as well as damage or overheating in industrial
systems can be securely detected.
The intuitive operation of the testo 885, with a rotatable
handle and display, and many helpful functions such as
Panorama image assistant, autofocus or SiteRecognition,
allows fast on-site checks as well as comprehensive exami-
nations with professional reports to be carried out.

SiteRecognition technologyFor repetitive thermography of similar measurement objects,the SiteRecognition technology offers the direct recognition,allocation and archiving of the measurement sites, as well as the automatic allocation and archiving of the the thermalimages.
Detector size 320 x 240 pixelsWith 76.800 temperature measurement points, the measurementobjects are detected in excellent image quality, very clearly andprecisely.
SuperResolution technology (to 640 x 480 pixels)SuperResolution technology improves the image quality by one class, i.e. the resolution of the thermal images is four timeshigher.
Thermal sensitivity < 30 mKThanks to an excellent temperature resolution of < 30 mK, eventhe smallest temperature differences are visible.

Intuitive hybrid operation
In order to be able to be used safely and efficiently in all applications, thetesto 885 offers sophisticated ergonomics. The fold-out, rotatable displayallows images to be recorded above the user’s head. The ergonomicrotatable handle additionally allows secure handling in difficult-to-accessplaces (such as at floor level).
With the intuitive hybrid operation, input by touch-screen can be selected in addition to the provenjoystick operation. In order to always have a hand free(e.g. for safety reasons), one-hand operation by joy-stick is recommended. In order to navigate throughthe menu directly on the display, touchscreen opera-tion is the best choice.
