This online course management system is very efficient and effective. It allows the educator to relay information directly and clearly. As a student, the site is very easy to navigate through. Assignments may be submitted with little difficulty and feedback from the teacher can be instantaneous. The website is very useful and appropriate for its purpose. From personal experience, I can say that moodle is an extremely easy and useful not only for instructors but for us students as well. Moodle provides a side purpose of being eco-friendly due to the fact that assignments are uploaded to moodle and does not need to be printed. http://campus.uogdistance.com/

Prezi.com is a website that provides its users a tool to use to make presentations. It’s an excellent alternative to power point by Microsoft. The tool makes the users presentation without slides which can be useful in keeping your audience’s attention by using a different format such as zooming in and out, rotating in different degrees, etc. The website also has a tab that allows new users instructions how to get started and tips on how to use its different features. This website is extremely useful in an educational environment by both the teacher and the student. The teacher can use it to make presentations and the students can learn it to use it for their presentations. Personally, I thought this tool can be used only if you have a Mac but instead it’s available for everyone and best of all it’s free for the public.

Spicynodes is another alternative from the traditional power point presentation by Microsoft. Spicynodes is an online, non-linear presentation tool, similar to concept mapping, and can be run as a form of slide show. It generates interactive layouts based on interconnected nodes, with radial tree format and additional optimizations, such as force-based repulsion between nodes so they do not overlap. The layout is adaptive, changing as the user clicks from node to node, which avoids cluttering. Each node can contain formatted text, images, videos, links to other nodes, or links to web pages. Unfortunately this tool is slow when it’s time for show time. It takes a while to load to go from one node to another and that it is why I assessed 3 out of 5. Other than that, inputting the information into the nodes or bubbles is simple. It’s a matter of copy and pasting.
