Day 1 : Designing the survey • Students are introduced to the activity : they have to desing a survey to poll their school mates about different questions, the respondents will be the 3rd and 4th of ESO (stundents betweent 14 and 15 years old)

• We group the students in teams of 2 or 3 students .

• Designing the survey. We establish three thematic sections on the board.

Block 1 : Personal household, habits,h ousekeeping.Block 2: Work and leisure habits . ( sports , TV , computer, playstation, hours  study, reading, Social Networking ... )Block 3 : alcohol, tobacco , sexuality.

We share the teams in the three blocks, giving them 10 minutes to write in their assigned block issues with this premises:

Questions should be simple and clear , with CLOSED answers which should collect all possible opinions .

It Is the moment to discuss the students proponsals, first we appoint a secretary who will remain on the board writing the conclusions

First couple of block 1 will tell us their issues after having checked all of them we select the best ones and it´s turn for the nex team which should provide only new issues. Once we have a selection of 4 aproved issues we proceed with blocks 2 and 3 ina similar way.

Day 2 : Preparing the Data collecting dayThe group itself fill the pilot survey to assess the time spent and failures that could have been encountered. It Is the moment to prepare the logistic for the data collection day, groups asignements and define the acting protocol:

Activity: Students should think and write about how they thik it should be done. We discuss and conclude a plan.

THE BRIEFING: What information to be given to respondents and how to give it, our goal here is to inform respondents about what we pretend with the survey and the importance of the sincerity in their answers:

• Surveys are completely anonymous . •Interviewers will collect surveys ( that way we will discriminate male and female) .
