Introduction:Definition:
Social bookmarking is a way of storing and classifying
Internet bookmarks, meant to help Internet users find other
sites they might be interested in.
Social bookmarking is a method for Internet users to store,
organize, search, and manage bookmarks of web pages on
the Internet (Wikipedia).
History
The concept of social bookmarking dates back to April 1996 when tList.com was launched.
Followed by web sites like Backflip, Blink, Clip2, Hotlink and Quiver .
The new era begins in 2005-2006.
The first wave: del.icio.us, Furl and Simpy
The second wave Diigo, Netvouz, Ma.gnolia and Stumble Upon.
