• We are working with WordPress.com. If you want a self hosted website you will need to use WordPress.org. Click here for an overview of the difference between WordPress.com and .org

Sign Up Process: You need to give your blog an Address & Name. You can choose to have your site visible to all, crawled by search engines or set to private.

Notes:

• You will have the opportunity to add upgrades for a price. If you want the upgrades, I suggest that you explore self hosting (see previous slide).

• For the purpose of this class, we are using all free options.

Adding Posts & Pages

• The process is the same for both.• Give the post or page a title• The next large box is where you add the text• The section above the text box has options for styling.• If you click the little camera icon that says Add Media

you can add an image into your page or post.• The right hand side of the page is where you can save

your post or page as a draft, preview what you have done or Publish.
