“During and immediately after a crisis when there is a threat of immediate harm to the victim, the most common identified need was shelter or a place to stay.”

How can we reimagine our resources to serve all groups of survivors?

Page 6: SafeNight, 3 minute pitch

WHAT IS OUR SOLUTION?

Page 7: SafeNight, 3 minute pitch

SafeNight will provide a mechanism to engage individual donors to fund emergency, on-demand hotel placements to meet the needs of a diverse group of human trafficking survivors.

Page 8: SafeNight, 3 minute pitch

How will SafeNight work?

1. The donor downloads SafeNight and creates a profile. And then just carries their phone.

2. The individual in need contacts an appropriate community support agency or hotline.

3. The case manager determines that a hotel is an appropriate placement and inputs a request for hotel room funding.

4. The donor receives an alert, which provides an opportunity to pay for a hotel room via a donation to the requesting organization.

Page 9: SafeNight, 3 minute pitch

What are the safeguards?

1. The case manager remains in control of the placement process.

2. The donor pays for the hotel room by making a donation to the requesting organization.

3. The individual in need does not interact directly with SafeNight and has no personal information in the system.

4. Only vetted organizations and case managers can be in the system and make requests.
