You need to understand, the complications surrounding civic issues revolve around the apparent disregard and apathy of civic bodies. The lack of Citizen Participation in identifying and notifying the responsible officer is what is breeding apathy within the system. No Objective and Periodic evaluation of officers’ work brings about indifference. The government mechanism in dealing with complaints is apparently inaccessible and inefficient.

We thought we could improve this and we think active Citizen Participation can eradicate this Issue.

And we call it, ProblemBolo.

ProblemBolo is a Mobile based Public Portal that allows citizens to post Complaints on the go. ProblemBolo notifies all concerned officers and organizes and analyzes all the complaints based on location, type, severity and other criteria, for public and media viewing. Major Issue Analysis generated by ProblemBolo will be periodically published in the media - print & electronic – to bring the issues to a “larger audience” (Municipal Authorities) and build Public Pressure for action.

This, we think, would make the Municipal bodies work well, turn accountable and be answerable to the people.
