Hi and welcome to my presentation on Global Warming.

In this presentation we categorically state the implications of Global warming as a change in political

and environmental attitude in our future and why it’s important for running a sustainable business.

We look at strategies which could be used in the future to lower our carbon footprint as a SME.

What is Global Warming?

Important Facts about Global Warming

Temperatures have already risen 1.4°F since the start of the 20th century—with much of this warming occurring in just the last 30 years—and temperatures will likely rise at least another 2°F, and possibly more than 11°F, over the next 100 years.

National Academies Reports Impact on New Zealand In New Zealand likely climate change impacts include:

Higher temperatures, more in the North Island than the South, (but still likely to be less than the global average)

Rising sea levels

More frequent extreme weather events such as droughts (especially in the east of New Zealand) and floods

A change in rainfall patterns - higher rainfall in the west and less in the east. http://www.mfe.govt.nz
