IntroductionIn this monograph I'm going to talk about the Internet, and

its influence in education. The reason I chose the topic, “The influence of the Internet in education”, is because I'm really interested in knowing how people studied before computers

were invented.

What was it like before having computers at home?

The questions for the interview were:

Did you have a computer when you were a child?

How did you manage to study or to do research without computers? Were the results accurate?

Do you think that in those ways research was more reliable than the Internet? Why?

Is the Internet reliable for you? Why?

Which resource do you prefer? Why?

The Internet is very useful because there you can find everything that you want. It is like a big library online.

The most general reasons why people use the Internet are:

To find general information about a subject

To access information not easily available elsewhere

To communicate with other people

To discuss their interests with people

To have fun

To learn

To read the news

Why is Internet useful?

How safe and reliable is the Internet?

Information we get from Internet is not always reliable and has no assurance of its credibility.

The Internet isn’t safe either, there are many kinds of piracy.

Internet piracy is the downloading or distribution of unauthorized copies of intellectual property such as movies, television, music,

games and software programs via the Internet.

There are different kinds of pirates, these are: hackers, crackers and the new type called “phishing”.

ConclusionIn this monograph I have explained how people studied and

searched for things without the Internet and the computers, why the Internet is useful and the different reasons people use it, and how

safe and reliable the Internet is.

I arrived at the conclusion that the Internet brought an important change in education; people stopped to search for information in

libraries and asking other people, and they started to use the Internet, because it was a way of searching for the same

information, and even more, in less time.
