Before Installation

• It’s important for safety procedures, to be followed as it prevents risks and danger to the user and the system.• Equipment such as an antistatic mat and

wristband will simply prevent electrostatic charges between the components and the engineer. • The metal crocodile clip will be used, as

the metal is a electrical conductor which enables the two parts to react.

On a flat surface, roll and lay down an antistatic mat

Connect the antistatic wristband to the antistatic mat, using the clip.

Connect a crocodile clip to the end of the wire, so it can be connected to the pc

Unplug the pc, so it is ready to open up

Power cycle the pc, to get rid of an current electricity

Lay the pc flat on the antistatic mat and open the tower up

Put on the antistatic wristband and attach the crocodile clip inside the pc

Alternately if the antistatic wristband isn’t included with the wire, as separate wristband can be used, which is plugged into the mains.
