WRONG WAY #1Too Much Writing
Throughout this week of analysing digital tools I have created a Prezi about my e learning journey. At each step it gives a brief outline of what was investigated in the digital world. I found the Prezi to be very straight forward and easy. There was a video tutorial (and if I was smart enough I would of watched it) available throughout the whole editing process. I liked that you could incorporate You Tube clips and some of your own images as well as images from Google. Prezi is definitely a Web 2.0 digital tool that shows just how far technology has come. I found it difficult to embed audio recordings from Voki. But as I admitted above I didn't watch the video tutorial and it might have been in there.
I believe students in the classroom would like the zooming and all sorts that the Prezi allows. Students could really add any information, images or videos into a Prezi and make it about whatever they want. There would need to be structure to follow when using the Prezi. And students would need to be careful about retrieving images and videos from Google and You Tube. Overall it was very enjoyable and I could see myself using this tool in future.

Ensure your spelling is correct. The audience doesn’t want to know how you spell on Face

RIGHT WAY #3Keep your attention seeking signs to a bare minimum! The audience wants a cool, calm and collective PowerPoint not an extravagant Mardi Gra party on their screen.
SubheadingsEnsure your headings and maybe even sub headings stand out, but there is no need for every word to be in a different format.

Although it’s great to show off your PowerPoint skills, keep the added effects to a minimal. You’ll end up sending the audience into a trance.

Stick to a theme or choose your layouts wisely in your
PowerPoint. The saying ‘less is more’ definitely applies here.
The PowerPoint needs to be easy to read and look at.

Ensure your colour scheme doesn’t give the audience a headache.
Your audience needs to be able to read and see your text!
RIGHT WAY #6Here is a little colour trivia.
These colours together on the left and right cause strain to the eye. It is best not to use these.
The warm colours tend to pop out and attract attention such as red. The cool colours tend to recede into the background and draw less attention.
WRONG WAY #7Now I know once you find this tool, you will realise it is
pretty cool! But there is no need to send your audiences on a wild goose chase. It’s the mighty HYPERLINK tool!

RIGHT WAY #7Now I understand that the hyperlink tool is amazing! But it is only amazing in moderation. It helps navigate throughout the PowerPoint if it is not designed to run through in order.
