How to optimize a business’
Channel:
Step 1) Set up a separate gmail account for their marketing and YouTube channel.
As part of Step 1, Create Channel Art that incorporates their logo and contact
information. While you’re at it, create a matching header for the Google Plus page.
Two examples of Channel Art that I’ve done:

Step 2) Research your competition. Check out their websites. Check out
their blogs and their social media presence. Figure out what keywords
they’re using.
Step 3) Keyword research, using free tools as well as paid. Check out whether your competition is ranking highly for their keywords. If not, they’ve just given you a competitive edge.
Step 4) Write copy for the channel as a whole, and for the first video, incorporating
your keywords in an organic way.
Step 5) Fill in the information part of your YouTube Channel. A new function that YouTube
has created is an intro video that lets people know what to expect of your channel. A nice way to do this is to have someone create a
punchy 30-second video . There are some nice Fiverr gigs for that. Be sure to use ALL of the
social media and keyword real estate available!
Step 6) Create your first video. This video has the primary function of establishing the
channel and getting the company to the first page of Google organic local search.
There are 3 possible goals for video marketing:
1) Ranking your business on Google search for important keywords. This goal can be accomplished with a very simple, easily-created video.
2) Increasing your reputation as a trusted expert in your field.
3) Increasing interaction with your business. This goal requires videos that are entertaining, engaging and
An easy way to create a simple video: 1) find some content on the site.
2) record an audio version of it 3) grab some images from the site, including
the logo. 4) import the audio, the images and create a
short (1-2 minute) video, using Windows MovieMaker or copy that you’ve already written and tags based on your keywords
Step 8) Broadcast it. Post it in your facebook fan page, on Google Plus, Linked In, Twitter. Email it to your list to announce the opening of a Channel. Use a Fiverr gig to submit it to Traffic Geyser (search on Traffic Geyser) and also to social bookmarking sites. Embed it in a blog post on your site, then Ping that page.
Find someone who has an authority blog account (such as Pure Leverage or ILN or
Empower Network) and offer to do a guest blog post—be sure your video is embedded
in the post. Get it out there.
