The Landscape

Private is becoming public… Your Photos - Flickr/Picasa web with over 5 billion

photos Your Videos – YouTube has 2 billion views/day. Your Thoughts – Twitter has 175 million users. Your Location – Foursquare has 4 million users and

growing. Your Reputation – Yelp, Directories and Reviews Your Network – LinkedIn Yourself – Facebook has over 600 million users.

The Landscape

Private is becoming public… What this means is that what happens in Vegas stays

on Facebook, Flickr, YouTube, Twitter and many other platforms.

With so many users gravitating toward the web, it is highly likely your company’s first impression will be in the cloud and not in your office.

Engagement Marketing

What is it? Engagement Marketing is about creating a great

customer experience which creates connections that enable ongoing dialog and through these connections, relevant content spreads.

Marketing is no longer the blasting of a one way message, the message is a two-way conversation.

We no longer search for information, the information finds us. The key is being the source of the information your target audience is looking for.

Developing a Web Presence

Content is king!

- You can have the best ads, most followers and coolest design…but content is what converts traffic.

Usability/Design is a must.

- If your visitors cannot find what they are looking for, it will not matter that you filled your site with fantastic content.

Developing a Web Presence

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

- The rules of SEO are governed by search engines. The rules can and do change.

(Google’s search algorithm now looks at your social media presence)

- Build user friendly, well formed-websites

- Cross promote your content and create back links to your site

- Create a community on social media. Every comment or mention helps your site’s ranking.

Developing a Web Presence

Social Media

- Develop a social media strategy. Do not be one of those companies that create a Facebook page or Twitter account without having a targeted audience or clear purpose.

- Listen, Establish Goals and Objectives, Develop a Plan, Develop Content, Engage and Measure.
