DESCRIPTION

A Primer on the Role of Metadata in Technical Documentation This presentation introduces writers to the role of metadata in technical documentation. It provides an overview of metadata standards and then goes on to describe the process of creating metadata using a sample document. Finally, this presentation looks at the future of metadata such as user generated metadata in the form of social tagging and their possible applications in technical documentation.
