This is my presentation from the SAP INSIDE TRACK Community Day in Bonn 2010. The idea for this presentation is to look at the theory and the adaption of information management and Web 2.0 anticipation in modern enterprises. It also look at the Implementation of Web 2.0 philosophies into the SAP Netweaver Product Line.

What is information
o Information is the amount of improbabilty or uncertainty
of the event occurence
o The most fundamental results of this theory are
Shannon's source coding theorem, which calculates
information value as result of the uncertainty of an event
is given by its entropy; (degree of chaos)

Information is the sequence of improbabilty – Markov Chain
o A discrete random process means a system which can be in various states, and which changes randomly in discrete steps.
o It can be helpful to think of the system as evolving once a minute, although strictly speaking the "step" may have nothing to do with time.

manifest when you think about how we all infer various things, how we draw some conclusion about something while having information about something else.

Living Enterprise – the sdn way
o Mark Yolton, sdn: o That's why a big 2010 focus for us is not just on growing
membership, but on growing active membership. A typical distribution for social participation is described in the 90-9-1 principle, which says 1% of users typically create the majority of the content (like the Active Contributors on SCN), 9% edit or add to existing content, and 90% consume content. The distribution for SCN looks more like 96% consumers, 4% editors, and 0.1% creators; so there's definitely potential to move more consumers to editors (asking/answering questions in forums, adding to wikis, etc.) and then to creators (writing blogs or articles, creating podcasts and eLearnings, etc.)

Living Enterprise – New Questions
o Now they are reaching critical mass. Some online
enterprise communities have millions of users. It has
become time for social media workgroups to get
integrated back into the enterprise organization, where it
will have to conform to enterprise practices and
systems , just like HR, ot IT or marketing.
o Inside many companies today, there is heated debate as
to where social media belongs in the organization.
Whoever runs SM will shape SM. If it is marketing, than
marketing social media may flourish at the expense of
