UStream has many useful features including: the ability to collect valuable information from stream viewers, vMix integration, great pricing for constant livestreamers, and much more. The analytics give this live streaming platform increased usability, and make is much more live streamer friendly.

UStream is becoming a big name in the live streaming industry. Their approach is simplistic and it’s very easy to get started right away with UStream Broadcaster. We found it to be one of the easiest platforms to get started on and enjoyed the free 30 day trial with no credit card required.

Meridix is a live streaming solution for sports. It offers vMix integration, just log in through vMix to Meridix and start streaming! It also has the ability to upload all streams to the site to watch prior streams once they’re over.

Meridix is highly specialized for live streaming sports. This allows for really easy customization for sports team managers who have little experience with live streaming technologies. As many of us know, Wowza is one of the biggest live streaming platforms on the market. It has a ton of CDN integrations making it simple to live stream with whatever service you may want to use. Wowza is extremely easy to use, and asks simple questions while setting up to give you exactly what you need for your live stream.

One of the unique features is the ability to select servers from around the world (3 in the USA!). This is a great way to reduce latency and delivery the highest quality live streams.

Choose where your server is, which inevitably chooses where your audience is located.

Twitch is a live streaming service for gaming. There is a upgrade to the free service called “Turbo” which gives you an ad free service, more video storage for past live streams, different chat colors, and much more. Twitch integrates with vMix, just log in and set up your stream and you’re good to go.

One thing that surprised us is that Twitch automatically deletes videos after 2-4 weeks. So this really focused on live streaming not content for videos on-demand.

YouTube Live is a free live streaming service that automatically upload all live streams straight to YouTube once the stream is over, given that you choose to upload the video. It is extremely easy to set up, and completely free!
