For Users– Improve online experience for traditional* users of website
• Offer discoverable** email ids at time of sign up and sign in• Pre-fill registration forms with rich user profile data from email providers
– Improve security• Reduced likelihood of stolen passwords, hijacked accounts etc.
For Websites– Improve registration conversion by performing inline email
verification – Decrease per-user support costs

User Sign Up Flow: Email Based, Choose from List or Type Email
User chooses the email address option.
Janrain Performs Check – Is Email Discoverable?
User is presented with two sign-up choices.

User Sign Up Flow: Email Is Not Discoverable, User Creates Password on Site
User is given the option to sign up by picking a site
password or using a different email address.
User signs up with password. Site stores the
user’s password.
Websites have the option to fall back to a traditional ID/password based sign up method manually or automatically.

User Sign Up Flow: User wants to create an account
User is given the option to sign up by picking a site
password or using a different email address.
User signs up with Google account. Email, First and Last Name pre-filled from Google
profile. Google stores password, provides verified email address.

User Sign In Flow: Email Entered Is Discoverable
User is automatically redirected to Aol to complete the website sign in process.
Multiple Identities can be added and switch between. Returning users may select which identity to use. Users are already familiar with this experience from operating
system account choosers from Apple, Microsoft and others.
