Websites• The first website we needed to use for our coursework was

www.wordpress.com. We created blogs where we could record all of our evidence of research and planning, construction and evaluation of our product.

• These are screenshots of our Wordpress blogs:

Websites• We also used social networking sites such as Facebook and

Twitter to reach our target audience. When making surveys for our audience we shared these on social networking sites which was helpful as it was a quick way of reaching a large target audience.

Websites• We used YouTube to upload our video evidence which we

then shared on our blog. We were able to upload our example videos of media techniques and our preliminary task, and also our final project.

• This is a screenshot of the YouTube channel we used:

Websites• For the music and audio in our final piece we used

www.freeplaymusic.com and www.freeplaysounds.com where we could find free non copyrighted music and sounds. This made it easy for us to find suitable atmospheric music and sound effects that we needed for our film, such as the sound of thunder and a slamming door.

Cameras• The first new thing we had to learn how to use was a hand

held Sony video camera. We experimented with this in our research as we made our preliminary task so this helped us when it came to filming our final film.

• We also used a compact digital camera for any photographic evidence such as testing our costumes and deciding on props and locations to use.

Tripod• We used this to keep our camera steady to make the shots

professional.

iMac• At school we have a suite of iMacs which we had to learn how to

use in order to edit our final product. We used programs such as iMovie, iDVD and iTunes.

• The main part of our editing was done using iMovie which allowed us to cut our shots together, add sound, credits, transitions and make any changes to the speed or brightness.

• We used iDVD to burn our product on to a DVD with a menu to give to the examiner.

• Another program we used was Adobe Photoshop, which we used to edit our drawing for our Production Splash.
