• supporting actions providing operators with skills and know-how encouraging the adaption to digital technologies

• supporting new approaches to - audience-building and business models; - cultural and media literacy; - data collection, including membership of the European Audiovisual Observatory

• strengthens innovation and research currently funded under the CIP / Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme

• broad approach to innovation: - bringing new products to the market - developing processes, systems or other approaches - recognizing European strengths in design, creativity and the importance of social innovation

research and technological development

• multidisciplinary research on new technologies and large-scale innovation related in particular to digital privacy, interoperability, open data, dynamic user interfaces, citizen-centric public service configuration and integration and innovation driven by users
