Programs that process data.

Operating system: It’s a set of instructions (programs)

that start up a computer and enables hardware to

work. It permits communications between any program

and hardware. F.i. Displaying characters on the

monitor, printing information

It’s impossible that a computer can run without OS so it’s the

first software that you must install.

Web pages are hypertext documents (text, links,

images, multimedia). Name + extension (htm, html).

You can edit them with specific software such as

FrontPage, dreamweaver, Joomla, word or directly on

the website.

Web pages are identifies by URL address.

If you want to open a web page you must install a

browser.

Internet explorers, Mozilla Firefox, Google chrome,
