ThursdayBreakfast with IDCThursday, May 18, 7:30 – 8:30 am

A significant shift is emerging in the data center, which will have profound implications to enterprise computing over the next 10 years. Evolving business models and a constantly changing competitive landscape requires an increasing array of new IT services. At the same time it is increasingly clear that the static and inflexible IT infrastructures deployed in today's data centers are not up tomorrow's IT challenges. During this presentation Ms. Bailey will present the results of IDC's recent study Data Center of the Future which summarizes findings from interviews with leading US data centers on how changes in IT infrastructure are impacting data center operations. Also covered will be latest trends in the data center, including server virtualization, power and cooling as well as shifts in IT skill sets.

FridayGuest Speaker Dean Tucker: Challenge: Managing in the 21st Century Information AgeFriday, May 19, 8:30 – 9:15 am

This session is about today’s business challenges, which will affect every employee and company. The first challenge is dealing with the disruptive changes created by the arrival of the information age. The management systems that used to work no longer do. The information age has made the current methods of management, which were created between 1850 and 1920 obsolete. Discover the barriers to increased teamwork, productivity and profitability while finding a solution to achieve those goals.

The second major challenge facing business today is a coming labor shortage of 10 million employees by 2008. This challenge is compounded by the fact that as the Baby Boomers retire, they will be replaced by Generations X and Y who will demand balance between work and private life. If these Generations are not happy with their work environment, they will just quit. Learn how to create a work environment that will unleash the entire human potential that these Generations have to offer. Solutions to these and many other challenges facing business today will be addressed.

Presenter: Dean Tucker, Watermark Technologies Ltd., [email protected]

Westin, Grand Ballroom 4 & 5 & Foyer

Also Join Dean in Westin- House room for a Q & A session about his presentation and book following the main address: 9:30 – 10:15 am.

ExecutiveValue Selling. What is it and why do we need it?Thursday, May 18, 10:30 – 3:00 pm

Take the sales process to the next level to deal with the limited attention available from the customer, at any level of the organization. This high-level approach introduces a pragmatic process that is used to help the customer find out what is important to them personally and how valuable it is to their business. This develops within the mind of the buyer, the motivation to listen, act, and justify the investment in your products and services. It prepares the individual to effectively call on all levels of the organization, and motivate every influencer, technical buyer, and power person involved with a decision.

It’s not a skill limited to organizations, individuals do it too! Think Lance Armstrong, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Nelson Mandela.

The founder of the Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia said, “You do not merely want to be the best of the best, you want to be the only one who does what you do.” Find out more about proven formulas for success. Check out this session, and start working to win today.

The tool even provides key play opportunities where you can pass discounts and promotions to clients and the IBM Competitive Advantage – why choose IBM over other specific companies. Everything you need to clothe the sale is in Attach Connector, which is available in eight languages: English, including UK and Canadian English, Italian, French, German, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. IBM Express AdvantageThursday, May 18, 3:00 – 3:45 pmFriday, May 19, 10:30 – 11:15 am

IBM Express Advantage is a new program that IBM is launching to mid-market customers that is intended to provide simplified access to IBM's unparalleled network of people, product and services. Along with an evolving portfolio of Express Offerings, and new customer experience programs, the business partners are a key aspect of this program.

Since 2002, IBM has offered Express products and solutions especially geared to solving the specific problems of mid-sized businesses. Based on research with our mid-sized customers, we know that in addition to needing industry-leading products and solutions, they have other requirements. They prefer to buy from local providers and want easy access to resources that help solve their business problems. In response to those needs, IBM has extended our Express strategy by introducing IBM Express Advantage.

Express Advantage is the culmination of years of hard work to develop an end-to-end value proposition that unifies our SMB offerings, grows our Business Partner ecosystem and enhances our customers' experience all under a common strategy. It's an approach that none of our competitors can match.
