When logged into your dashboard, click the ‘Jobs & Opportunities’ tab at the top of the screen. Next, expand a particular job to see the various opportunities underneath the respective job. Focus on the column titled ‘Scoring.’ Here, you can see there are 5 categories being scored: Requestor, Location, Type, Trade, and Contract Value. This will allow you to easily see the best opportunities for the respective job based on the 5 categories being measured.

Next, click the ‘Preferences’ tab at the top of the screen. You will then see three tabs under this section: Default Preferences, Scoring Preferences, and Labor and Equipment. To start, click Default Preferences.

Next, we see the applicable trades. By selecting the ‘edit,’ button again, you will see arrows appear between the two trades columns. You can select one, multiples (by clicking ‘control’ and selecting), or a whole group of trades (by holding ‘shift’ and clicking the irst and last in consecutive order).

APPLICABLE TRADES

Then, by clicking on the right arrow, you can move them all into “My Trades” column. Any trades that you did not want to move, can be moved back by using the appropriate arrow in the coordinating direction you wish you have it move. When done, click save.

APPLICABLE REQUESTORS

The next section is Applicable Requestors. Same steps as before. If someone is not currently listed, you can add, then save to your list.

ENTER SCORING PREFERENCES

Next, click the ‘Scoring Preferences’ tab. When interacting under this tab, you will have the ability to customize preferred requestors, preferred locations, preferred job types, preferred trades, and contract values.

REQUESTORS

We have a list of all the Applicable Requestors we selected on the previous tab. Now we can use the scoring preferences to narrow which opportunities we want to bid on. You can select preferred, not preferred, or leave them in the original column to indicate that they are neutral.

LOCATIONFor Location, click ‘edit,’ then enter your city, state, ideal number of miles in travel to a job, then max number of miles willing to commute. Then, by refreshing the map, you should see a green radius appear with your ‘ideal preferences’ and a grey radius indicating your ‘maximum preferences.’ You can narrow your search by inputting your whole address, but we simply use the general area of “Chicago, IL” as an example. When scoring your project types, it is the same process as the other factors. Edit, alter, save.

PREFERRED TRADES

This information is also pulled from the previous tab. You can customize your settings like you did for requestors. If you do not see a trade that you expected to see, check your default preferences to make sure the information is accurate. Edit, alter, save.

PROJECT TYPE

Similar to Requestors, you have built a list of job types on the previous tab. Here, you can select preferred, not preferred, or leave them in the original column to indicate they are neutral. This will allow you to further measure opportunities based on the project/job type. Edit, alter, save.

CONTRACT VALUES

You can set maximum applicable values, maximum preferred, minimum preferred, and minimum applicable. If you have a range of contacts you work within, enter that into the preferred max and min, then gauge what you would accept beyond those values.
