- smart clothes for more sustainable energy in the future

Sometimes your underwear has the potential to start a revolution. Inspired by a NASA experiment with light emitting diodes to stimulate plant growth in space stations, KYMIRA creates fabric that captures the energy created during workout. It is then re-emitted back into your muscles, helping recovery and boosting performance.

KYMIRA sportswear is an important step towards wearable technology that makes sense and provide more added value than an elegant tech solution to show up.

With the underlying technology however the ultimate goal is to supply completely clean energy and change the the world's consumption on a large scale.

5litres

We are becoming more conscientious about how water is turning into a scarce resource and perhaps just in time. Smart shower head startups Nebia and 5litres - the former funded by Tim Cook amongst others - approach the problem by helping a daily ritual become much less wasteful.

They both engineered the product to use significantly less water, Nebia 70%, 5litres up to 90% less. But the smart thing about them is how they create a whole new experience around our interaction with water. Better then simply tools to save, they offer a pleasant new way, helping less wasteful habits to spread.

Qleek reinvents the way we play music by turning online playlists and favourite artists into a library you can play, display and share.

Fueled by a desire to make the interaction with technology more conscientious, they seek to introduce slow tech into consumers' busy lives. Perfectly on trend for a society starved out for less noise, more connection and better habits.

Qleek is desirable: beautiful, minimalistic, a smart solution to replace stupid USB sticks and spending time searching for the right files. It can also help sidestep constant media consumption and introduce mindfulness into how we use our technology.
