Mechanisms:Legislation:- Government strategy, build more waste recycling factories - Allow to landfill only 20% of the waste

Economic:- High taxes on landfill - Decreased taxes for companies which don’t produce waste

Education:- Teach the importance of waste recycling in schools- Prepare specialists in this area

Information:-Teach people to separate different kinds of waste

Legislation:- Create a free market for energy, so that people can choose whatkind of energy (renewable/non-renewable) and from who they buy it

Economic:- Decreased taxes for companies which use renewable energy- Introduce a new tax that will penalize companies for low power efficiency- Create a government investment fund which will support companies which want to build power stations of renewable energyor improve their processes to increase power efficiency etc.

Education:- Emphasis on sustainable development in training of engineers- Teaching sustainable development in schools

Information:- Create a public opinion about the importance of sustainable development in energy sector.

Efficient use of energy

- Improved processes to make production more sustainable

- Decreased waste production

- Increased power efficiency

- Cooling waters are used for domestic heating

Companies:

Citizens/domestic heating- Using heat pumps

- Increased heat efficiency

- Decreased consumption of energy, water, etc.

Future vision:Future vision:

Legislation & Economic:- Government supports new standards of production- Market prices for energy for all companies - Building a network of heat pumps- Decreased temperature in domestic heating- Introduce new taxes for low power efficiency of companies- Encourage sustainable production

Education & Information:- Training of sustainable development specialists- Teach and motivate people to decrease consumption of energy, water, etc by using energy-saving

Indicators:- Environmental sustainability index

- Ecological footprint

- Use of energy per dollar in GDP

- Quantity of harmful emissions per ton of production

- Percentage of waste recycling

- Ratio of using renewable and non-renewable source of energy

- GPI (Genuine Progress Indicator)

“The problems are in heads”

Surely, after last 2 weeks some solutions are also there.
