RESEARCH BACKGROUND   Too many changes within the organisation, especially w.r.t. CIO

at the BOD –  First question : what is the performance of the existing one? –  Second question : why you did it that way, not this way? –  Third question : let‘s we start to improve it. From where?

  Classic gap between „IT People“ and „Non IT People“ –  The three constituents : Executives, IT Department, and Users –  Good is normal, a little error is recordable punishment –  The deployment does not align with the expected ones

Need a tool or methodology to diagnose the existing performance of IT system by using ““easy to understand approach””

RESEARCH OUTCOME   A quick and brief IT diagnosis model - called IT General

Checkup™ - as analogue to the common health general checkup   The name has been chosen to attract the BOD – especially CEO/

CIO – pertaining to their current needs   Consist of the mechanism that is formed by combining the

potpourri of best-practices which have been carefully chosen to meet the organisation needs

  It is meant to be developed in a tailor-made mode so that can be followed with the next mass customisation approach

  The result is much softer than ““IT Audit”” and ““IT Risk Management”” but touch the essence nature of the existing IT system management performance
