Our Heart• Stethoscope: Used to

check the heart. A healthy heart pumps blood to all the vital organs. A heart in trouble is a painful thing, and when the heart goes bad, life stops.

• *DO you have a heart that beats for God?

Our Heart• Psalms 19:14. Let the words of my

mouth, and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord.

Our Blood• Syringe: Used to draw blood

for the blood test. This is Debbie's occupation by trade. She would take samples of a patients blood, and look for things that shouldn't be in there.

*Is the blood of Christ coursing through your veins?

Our Temperature• Thermometer: This is used to

check a person's temperature. If someone's temp is too low, that is unhealthy. If it is too high, it can be very dangerous, even fatal. The body should remain at the same temperature in a healthy person; on the warm side!

• *Is there a warmth in your spirit for the people of God?

• Rev 3:15-16. Would that you were hot or cold.

• I Thess 5:19 "Quench not the Spirit."

• We should fan the flames of God's Spirit within us and stay on fire for the Lord.

Our Sensitivity• Reflex Hammer: This is

used to determine if the proper neural response is seen. They tap the knee, and see if their is a reaction. A healthy person has a certain level of sensitivity.

• *How sensitive are we to the touch of God's Spirit?

Our Sensitivity• John 16:13: But when the Spirit

of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.

Our Vision• Eye Chart: How could we

have a check up without the eye chart? We have to focus on the little things, notice the big things, and be clear about what they say!

is the eye; if therefore your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light. But, if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness.

The Prescription• Prescription: How much better to

do a daily spiritual check up! When we are healthy physically, wounds heal quicker, we have more energy, we think clearer, and live longer. When we remain in shape spiritually, the same is true! To be of service to God, we must be Spiritually healthy.

The Prescription• Prescription: A daily dose

of God's Word! God tells us in His word how to be spiritually healthy. Besides, God's prescription is for preventive medicine, as well as comforting the hurts.

Spiritual Nourishment• Bible Study: We are what we

eat! So, do we eat “devil’s food,” or “angel food?” Regular Bible study is essential to sound spiritual health.

• Psalm 1:2- But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night.

Spiritual Nourishment• A Proverb A Day! There are 31

Proverbs, and 31 days in the longest months. Read a Proverb each day, and then memorize a verse or two. This is the beginning of meditation on God’s word, and a source of healthy wisdom.

Spiritual Exercise• Spiritual Exercise: Just as Jesus

taught and practiced, we must spend time with God in prayer: This is essential to sound spiritual health.

• Phil 4:6- Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Spiritual Exercise• Spiritual Exercise: Worship, praise,

and fellowship help keep us strong in spirit. When we are apart from these things, we become weak.

Rest In The Lord• Rest: We must find time to

stop, be quiet, and be still. God, after His creation of all that is, took time to rest, and declared that rest as sacred. Jesus likewise took time to rest and find restoration.

Me, all who are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls.
