INTRODUCTION
If you ever wondered when and why soccer was invented, you must first understand that humans, from the start of times, has the urge to kick things. For example, have you ever counted how many time you was kicking a plastic bottle or a cone just out of frustration or boredom? Exactly, the instinct of soccer was in our human nature from the start of times.

WHEN WAS SOCCER INVENTED?
The common information says that soccer was born in England in 1863. The truth is, soccer was officially organized and played with set rules at that date, but it was actually invented and played long time before that.

THE CHINESE
The first known civilisation, that played soccer the closest to its current form , was the Chinese 300 years B.C, they used to call it “Cuju“, which involve players kicking a leather ball through a hole made from silk fabric and stretched to two pole.

THE AZTEC
Almost in he same period of time as the Chinese, the Aztec used to kick a leather ball through a hole inside two carved stone, each at one end of the field. Aztec soccer has a religious significance, the game itself represented the battle between day and night and the ball represented the head of the sacrificed victim. It is said that the court of soccer was at the bottom of a blood stained stairs of a pyramid, it is believed that the coach of the loosing team, or even the whole team, was sacrificed as a result.

THE MIDDLE AGES
Soccer was also known during the Medieval Ages, it was a pretty famous practice in England, it was also considered an extremely violent game even for that time standards. A clear example of this is at the London British Museum, where a wooden engraving was showing two man fighting over a leather ball, you can also find another scene from the same era including a player with his arm broken.

THE MODERN TIMES
Last but not least, soccer was officially introduced to the world on the 6th of October in 1863, were couples of English clubs met and agreed to create the first set of rules to define the game. Couple of years later, “The Football Association” was born and the footballs rules became a universal standard making soccer as we know it today.
