PRESENT SITUATION OF INDIAN CRICKET TEAM

INTRODUCTION

• The Indian cricket team, also known as Team India and Men in Blue

• Governed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)• The Indian cricket team is currently ranked seventh in Tests,

second in ODIs and second in T20Is by the ICC.•  Virat Kohli is the current captain of the team in Tests while

Dhoni is the ODI and T20I captain.

RECENT PAST SITUATION • After defeating Sri lanka , Indian Cricket Team came to Australia for

test series & Tri-series• After India’s arrival in Australia they witness the shocking death of Phil

Hughes• After the 4th test in malobourne M S Dhoni quitted his test career after

playing 91 test• India was defeated by Australia 0-2• India can not really grab the situation in the tri-series as well and

ended by got beaten all the matches in this series

WORLD CUP 2015• India started their world cup campaign by getting beaten by Australia and beating

Afganistan in their warm-up matches• India defeated their arch-rivals in their very first group match. KOHLI made his 22nd tol

and SHAMI bowled very good spell to restrict Pakistan within a small total and continue their winning streak in World cup

• In their 2nd group match, India dominated South Africa, one of the strongest contenders, by 130 runs. Shikhar Dhawan batted an out standing innings and helped India to get past 300 runs .

• After RSA clash , India beat UAE by 9 wickets .• After UAE clash , it was West Indies’ turn to bow to rejuvenated India but

not before challenging hardly . Indian fast bowlers made it difficult for the West Indies batsmen . In batting department , Indian skipper batted brilliantly to carry India home.

• After beating West-Indies , Ireland got defeated to India…After starting well , they could not capitalise the situation and surrendered to the Indian spinners . India also create the record of bowled out opposition consecutive 5 times . In chase, Indian batsmen batted really well while Dhawan scored his 8th ton and Rohit completed his half-century well backed by ever consistent Virat and Rahane . India completed the chase with ease with 8 wickets in hand.at the same time , India top the pool B.

CONCLUSION

• After getting demolished in their earlier series India is looking confident of defending the biggest title of cricket

• We expect a lot of professional performances from our players and make India proud once more.
