Northlake Nature Center

The Northlake NatureCenter Trail is great for

running, hiking, or biking.Located in Mandeville, LAthis trail is a hidden gem

for anyone looking toexplore the area.

This sign indicates thestart of the trail. Follow thedeck down a few hundred

yards and enjoy thewooden structures along

the way. This deckeventually turns into a trail

which is great for a trailrun.

Canoe Launch

Follow the signs to the leftafter you park and you will

end up at the canoelaunch. There is no fishingallowed but the scenery isgreat and the bench style

seating, for canoes tolaunch from, really makes

for a great resting area.

Along with the canoe

launch is also the Castine

Bayou Loop Trail. It seems

to be a very short trail that

we be ideal for someone

scouting for wildlife or

birding, etc.

A bike path route is alsoaccessible and located in

the very back of theparking area. After runningthis entire trail I know that

you can easily ride amountain bike throughoutthe trail and be perfectly

fine.

This is a photo of the deckthat leads to the South loop

trail. The South loop ends andpicks up with the North loopabout 1 mile from this point.
