Golf-related trends in the 21st century are similar to those affecting the rest of society. The emergence of Asia, the feminization of public space, increasing technology, urbanization, sustainability, and resource depletion.

There has been a tremendous growth in the number of young golfers in both China and India. Increased prosperity is allowing Asians greater opportunities for leisure activities, and they are flocking towards golf.

Golf In fact, China has three times more golf

courses than it did just ten years ago, and the excitement surrounding the sport suggests that this trend will continue.

Asia is already the center of women’s professional golf, and a good percentage of the growth in Asian amateur golfers are females. Thus, the increasing feminization of the game will likely lead to different designs for clubhouses and the surrounding facilities as golf become more family oriented.
