• Fiona Pennie is one of Britain’s most experienced women's K1 slalom kayakers and represented Team GB at the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008.

• Since missing out on London 2012, Fiona has come back stronger than ever before to have two very successful years becoming European Champion in 2013 and World Championship silver medallist in 2014

• Richard Hounslow is one half of the Olympic silver medal winning C2 pair after success alongside David Florence at London 2012

• The pair have been competing together since 2009 and have won two World Championship medals in that time; taking bronze in 2010, gold in 2013 and 5th at the scene of their Olympic success at Lee Valleyin 2015

• In December 2012 it was announced by UK Sport that the British Canoeing Paralympic Programme would receive a significant budget for the four year Rio Paralympic Cycle, further empowering us to challenge the best the World has to offer. With the Paracanoe landscape likely to improve exponentially over the next four years, there are going to be very exciting times ahead culminating in Rio 2016.

Go Canoeing is an Olympic legacy programme within British Canoeing that focuses on growing andincreasing the frequency of people paddling. It targets the leisure and recreational outdoor market.
