What is Join the Journey?

Join the Journey seeks to encourage people to read the Bible daily.  Within this timeless message of God’s truth are found the answers to life’s most asked questions.

Join The Journey… and discover how God’s Word answers your most important questions.  The answers may surprise you . . . and change your life!

The Journey uses today’s technology to bring the timeless truths of Scripture to people seeking to develop a daily habit of reading the Bible. 

Roadblocks in the Journey

• People start down the path but fail to complete their mission - Journey Incomplete

• There is an entry for every weekday of the year- each entry is done by a different individual- 260 Volunteers are needed to create daily devotional entries

At the first of the year have a small reception honoring those who have made the Journey possible by volunteering to provide daily devotional entries.

Show Progress & Unlock Badges

• Provide a progress bar to show voyagers how far they have come

• Give positive feedback & encouragement with badges that unlock for staggered accomplishments:• Registration

• 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% to completion

• Commenting on an entry

• Sharing an entry

• Progress Bar and Badges are displayed on individual’s profiles

Surprise! Halfway There!

A member of the Watermark staff will send an email & free drink coupon, redeemable at the coffee shop, once the halfway mark is achieved. This will be a delightful surprise and encouragement to keep progressing.

The Same Goal

• Join the Journey was built for achievement of a year-long goal

• On this Journey there should be an opportunity to support, encourage and socialize with others on the same path to achievement

• Add a chat board for interaction and discussion of daily content.

• Discussion leaders can be chosen from content volunteers

Arrival at the Summit

Reward those who finish the long Journey with a special T-shirt reserved only for those who completed all 260 daily devotionals. T-shirts will be noticeable around Watermark, marking those who successfully completed the Journey.

One Step at a Time

It IS possible to increase participation and engagement. All it takes is a few effective tools to encourage people to move forward along their Journey one step at a time.
