Eine SchultüteWhen children in Germany & Austria begin their first day of school in first grade, their

parents &/or grandparents give them a giant

cardboard cone which is decorated & filled with toys, chocolate, candies, school supplies

& other goodies. It is given to children to make this anxiously awaited day a little bit

sweeter.
